Heinz Engineering has been going through a lot of changes over the past several months, and we’d love to share some of the highlights with you, our customers.

We’re now under new ownership! The acquisition closed on September 24, 2020, and the transition is going well.

Osei Appiagyei, our new Chief Executive Officer, accompanied by Reng Teng, our Chief Operating Officer, have incorporated a lot of big changes.

“We want to be at the forefront of technology in this space,” said Osei. “We have made a tremendous amount of progress.”

Here’s a look at some of the changes we’re implementing.

Customer Support

It’s our goal to continuously improve our customer support operations. That includes supporting customers more efficiently AND more effectively. 

We’ve made several updates to our technology to streamlining back-office support, including an overhaul and implementation of a brand-new ERP system.

We’re actively maintaining on-time performance and even working to get orders out early (whenever possible)! The Paperless Parts platform has been a huge boon to the business as well, allowing us to turn around quotes much faster than before.

We’re also stepping up customer communication. If we discover a hiccup, we’re proactive about giving our customers a heads-up on any potential delays (and discussing our plan for minimizing delays as much as possible). We’re providing better visibility into the manufacturing process and internal timelines as well. The goal is to create a true two-way conversation with every customer we work with.

Employee Relations and Business Culture

We’ve made a lot of changes in this area to improve shop operations from the inside out. We started by conducting one-on-one meetings with every employee to gather feedback about how we can make our business better. Our updates include:

  • Growth and training opportunities for our team
  • Revamping our compensation and benefits structure
  • Establishing an open-door policy between management and the shop floor
  • Implementing standup meetings to improve communication between departments

We also have a brand new website!
